We do take pets. The pet travels in the cabin next to its owner, on a separate paid seat.
Seat and price
A full seat is bought for the pet for 80 €. That way it has space and the neighbours aren't cramped. Transport conditions.
Documents
Bulgaria and Romania are in the EU, Moldova is not. For an animal to enter, documents are needed under EU rules for third countries. Mandatory: a pet passport with all vaccinations. Check the other EU requirements for animals from Moldova with your vet in advance. Start preparing the documents a few months ahead: some procedures take time.
On the road
- A carrier for a cat or small dog
- A lead and muzzle for a large dog
- A pad for the seat
- Water, a bowl, their usual food
- Don't give a big meal before departure
Stops
We stop every 2–3 hours, so you can walk your dog. At the border the animal stays in the van with its owner, and its documents are shown together with your passport.
